INTRODUCTION

The presentation will focus on how to provide equal educational opportunities


for learners from divers backgrounds in my classroom each slide will give an
overview of : Low –income background. Different ethic or cultural
background. Linguistic challenged background .High ability learners and or
hyperactive learners. Learners with diverse talents. Learners with disabilities
and learning disabilities .
LOW INCOME BACKGROUND

 Knowing ,understanding their circumstances and respecting my learners is first priority .I will try to communicate with
them ,embrace and integrate their diversity and enable contribution of their knowledge to everyone ,s learning .
 Often there is a less language spoken in low-income homes ,therefore ,I will teach simple and plain vocabulary daily.
 I will think of ways to reach out more effectively to learners of low –income background .Treating them like family
Different ethnic or cultural background

 Maintain high standard and demonstrate high expectations for all ethnically cultural diverse student .
 I will try to understand students home cultures to better comprehend their behaviour in and out the classroom.
LINGUISTIC
CHALLENGED BACKGROUND

 I’ll use different resources with linguistic themes when teaching my learners.
 I will provide examples that give learners the opportunities to engage with and understanding both contents and language.
 I will use rhymes and songs in an effort to accommodate different languages towards my learners.
 Ask learners who understand better to explain for those who do not understand .
 I will practice and encourage intuition in the classroom for example praise learners for good participation and effort.
HIGH ABILITY

 Divide long- term project into segments assign a completion goal for each segment .
 Seat the hyperactive students away from windows and doors .
 Accept for partial work.
LEARNERS WITH DIVERSE TALENT

 Give student a real-world problem to solve that has multiple solutions. Provide examples and questions to guide them.
 I will create learning opportunities which offer balanced stimulation.
 I will by all means try to avoid fixed rules and boring routine during my presentation .
LEARNERS WITH DISABILITIES

 Lessons plans should be organized in a way that offers the best possible opportunities for full participation for
learners with disabilities.
 Get the learner involved in group activities .This will help the learner to build social skills .
 Educators should make sure that disabled learner has equal access to all facilities eg. the use of laptop/tablets
,privision of information in large print etc.
