What people wear. People wear colorful

costumes. Some of the most
traditional carnival costumes
in Barranquilla are the
Marimonda, the Garabato, the
Congo and the Monocuco.
Other elements typical of the
Barranquilla carnival are the
masks of bull, the litanies, the
festivals, as well as the
satirical costumes and
allusions to current events that
become a reason for collective
hilarity and that cause great
expectation every year.
 What people do. People dance, sing and enjoy
the carnival and all the
parades that are presented
daily.
