This document proposes a design for low-cost incremental housing units for workers. The design uses pre-cast concrete blocks to save time and costs, with each two blocks sharing a common veranda and private open terraces. The ground floor includes a larger common gathering space, while internal walls use plywood or pop sheets. Cross ventilation is provided to keep the housing breathable for hot climates.

Low cost incremental housing for workers • Unit blocks are pre-cast, for saving time on site and
ving time on site and its
cost efficient. • Staking is done in such a way every two block gets their common useable space in form of veranda and private space in form of open terrace. • Martial : pre-cast concreate. • For site construction tunnel formwork can be used. • Larger gathering space is given on ground floor. • plywood or pop sheets can be used in internal walls. • Cross ventilation is given for making housing units breathable, and suitable for hot climate Plan of housing with common spaces
