Course Description:
This course highlights decision-making approach to good governance, business ethics, risk management and assessment and review
of internal controls by using case studies, lectures, and reflections. The course also presents governance, business ethics, risk management
and internal control from a broad perspective that includes information technology, business processes, and accounting systems.

Course Outcomes

Upon completion of the course, the learner will be able to:


1. Describe, and enumerate the requirements for, the professional practice of accounting in the Philippines.
2. Demonstrate the growing importance of a stakeholder-oriented approach to corporate governance.
3. Explain the role of boards of directors, institutional investors, and transparency, internal control and risk management in corporate
