CASE-ETTE 2020

It’s January 2020 and an infectious disease, Covid-19 has infected people
in nearly every country. A few hundred cases have been found in India as
well, but the spread is projected to be much larger and widespread.
Looking at such conditions, the Government of India has called for a
nationwide lockdown.

Now the prime minister has called you, the Consultant to the Indian
Council of Medical Research (ICMR), after having a long Cabinet meeting;
the only solution they came up with is a nationwide door to door screening
to be completed within a month. Now the prime minister wants you to
analyse the feasibility of this screening to consider the three variables
listed below.

So buckle up to analyse this and check how much


1. Manpower;
2. Human hours;
3. Money and equipment it will take?

Rules and submission guidelines:


1. Mention the assumptions, approach taken and final values derived clearly in the
document.
2. All the PDF files have to be submitted with the following subjects in particular order:
(a) TEAM NAME_TEAM LEADER'S NAME _Q1
(b) TEAM NAME_TEAM LEADER'S NAME_Q2
(c) TEAM NAME_TEAM LEADER'S NAME_Q3
3. All the PDF files should contain the Participants' Name, Contact details, and Email IDs.
- Font size to be used: 12; Font style to be used: Times New Roman
4. Use of internet is permitted.
5. There is no predefined format for the presentation of the case solution. Participants
are free to use their presentation skills while solving the case problem.
6. The case solution has to be uploaded on tinyurl.com/case-ette20R1Sol by 16th July
2020 06:00 PM IST. Any responses thereafter will not be entertained and might lead
to relevant penalization.
7. The results will be declared via 180DC SGGSCC’s social media handles within the
next two days.
8. Submit your approach for calculating all three variables in three different PDFs.
9. The response will be judged mainly on the approach taken. The final numerical value
will also be considered in judging.
10. This round is an elimination round. The participants who will clear this round will be
notified for the final round.
11. Only one entry from one team will be considered. Multiple registrations or response
will lead to disqualification directly!
12. The judgement of 180DC SGGSCC on all the issues will be final and binding.
