▪ Test Date : August 13, 2020 (Thursday)
▪ Time Start : 9:00 AM
▪ Time End : 11:30 AM
▪ Total Duration : 2 ½ hours
▪ Total No. of Questions : 100
▪ Total No. of Points : 100
▪ No. of Attempts : 1

The test is set to show one question at a time, and questions are locked after
answering – “NO BACKTRACKING”.
Also, the test is set to continue in the case that your device runs out of power or
has been accidentally turned off or plugged out, and / or your internet (wifi or
data connection) becomes weak and unstable or totally disconnected, provided
that you still have time left – “NOT AUTO-SUBMIT”.

The Online Qualifying Exam is composed of five test areas –

1. Aptitude;
2. Chemistry;
3. English;
4. Math; and
5. Physics.

Each item per exam category is a multiple-choice type of question with four
choices. Read each question carefully and choose the BEST answer.

WHAT TO DO BEFORE THE ONLINE TEST?

1. Make sure you have already registered and logged in into your Canvas
account. Don’t have a Canvas account yet? Create one! Follow the
instructions included in this file to know how to set up your account.
2. Be ready with your suitable device (preferably a desktop PC, a laptop, a
tablet, or a mobile phone) with any of the modern browsers (e.g. Google
Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge).
3. Be sure to have a strong, stable, and reliable internet (wifi or data
connection) good for the test duration of 2 ½ hours.
4. Prepare your examination area. A quiet and comfortable place away
from distractions will help you become more focused.
5. It is a good practice to prepare yourself at least five minutes earlier
than your schedule.
6. Have your snacks and drinks ready in case you get hungry and thirsty.

WHAT TO DO DURING THE ONLINE TEST?

1. INTEGRITY is highly valued.
2. BE HONEST in answering each item with the best of your ability.
Platform moderators and examination assessors are highly skilled in
monitoring and evaluating the skills of student applicants.
3. BE MINDFUL of the schedule, time interval, and time limit per test
category. There are two-time frames indicated, the STARTING time and
ENDING time. Upon clicking the buttons “TAKE THE QUIZ” >> “BEGIN”,
running time will automatically start. Submitted answers can no longer
be reviewed nor changed.
4. After the last item, click “SUBMIT QUIZ”. As you proceed to the next test
category, just click BACK (arrow) button or “QUIZZES” then wait for the
next test category to start. You may enter the platform ahead of the
stated schedule so you can be able to start on time. If the items do not
reflect on the time given, just click “REFRESH” (arrow) button.
5. Use your allotted time responsibly. Please avoid unnecessary browsing
and using of other gadgets.

1. After successfully finishing the online test, please give us your feedback

2. Kindly wait for the announcement of the test results from the
Scholarship Committee of the Local Government of Carmona.

ANSWERS TO FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)

1. I have a problem logging in with my Canvas account. What should I do?
ANSWER:
o Be sure to remember your log in e-mail and password; or click
“Forget Password” button and wait for a confirmation e-mail.
o If this happens or persists DURING the online test, follow the
above processes, and we recommend to inform us as well by
filling out the Issues and Concerns Form thru the link:
bit.ly/OQEIBCCIssuesConcernsForm and wait for a call from our
OQE IBCC Team to assist you.

2. I can’t see the online tests. I forgot to input the correct country and time
zone during the account set up.
ANSWER:
o Log in into your account. Go to “ACCOUNT”. Click “SETTINGS” >>
“Edit Settings”. Under the drop-down box of “Time Zone” select
“Philippines (+08:00)”. Click “UPDATE SETTINGS” and go BACK to
the main page. You may also click COURSES and select “Online
Qualifying Exam for Iskolar ng Bayan ng Carmona, Cavite (IBCC)”.
If nothing has been changed, click the REFRESH button and check
again.

3. I lost my internet connectivity during the online test. I cannot re-log in

anymore.

4. I accidentally exit from the Canvas platform. Can I still continue the
online test?

ANSWER:
o Yes! Check again your e-mail, click the “Get Started” button from
the “Course Invitation” e-mail message to regain access to the
Canvas platform. Upon entering, click the exam category where
you accidentally left. You will be automatically redirected to
resume from the last item you’re supposed to answer.

o If the problem persists, try to log out. Refresh your browser and
follow the steps for logging in. Or send us a message to
bit.ly/OQEIBCCIssuesConcernsForm and wait for a call from our
OQE IBCC Team to assist you.

5. I entered / logged in LATE into my Canvas account or I started LATE in

taking my online test. I was not able to answer the previous exam
category based on the allotted schedule.

ANSWER:
o Proceed in answering the next sets of exam categories. Then, send
us a message to bit.ly/OQEIBCCIssuesConcernsForm and state
your reason/s.

6. Is there a chance for a retake of the online qualifying exam due to

unavoidable circumstances?

ANSWER:
o The OQE IBCC Team will evaluate the soundness of your issues
and concerns based on your submitted report to
bit.ly/OQEIBCCIssuesConcernsForm. Wait for a call or text
message from our Team for the confirmation.

7. How will I know if I pass or fail the exam?

ANSWER:
o The test results will be released by the Scholarship Committee of
the Local Government of Carmona.
