Extra features:

- unlimited track count, means there is no limit for example how many audio tracks or
other there can be. To get more tracks just duplicate tracks when at track limit
instead of adding tracks to pass limit.

Fixed from previous version 9.5.40:

“Mono audio only” problem in some computers, “white noise” problems, “sends not
working” bug and some other bugs mentioned in earlier version are fixed. On the
other hand there is one new bug, which is that sometimes Cubase can crash in
some heavy operations like when duplicating 256 tracks to get 512 tracks. Previous
version had incorrect Cubase LE AI Elements Plug-in Set.vst3 file, it is now correct
one.

Some notes:
- Roland cloud vst2 plugins are buggy, so vst3 version only must be used and load
them to instrument rack, not to instrument track. It is common cubase problem that
some vst2 plugins can cause crashes, so use vst3 versions if available
- Factory templates are buggy, starting from empty project is better option
- Need to input chord type with MIDI keyboard or Cubase keyboard in chord track
- Sampler track will not work with Elements 8 trial license, it would require Elements
9 or later version trial
- Crashes if note expression or Render in place is accessed. Crashes if in chord
definition window 2nd or 3rd column is accessed, use midi input in that window.
- Native addon fx plugins like roomworks se is better not to use, so use builtin
channel strip plugins only or own vst3 or quality vst2 plugins
- There was serious mistake in previous version documentation, so instead of
renaming Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Steinberg/Content folder,
correct folder to rename is Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Steinberg
folder. And this should be done always when installing any Steinberg apps, since
folder is recreated by installation apps. If this step is ignored there will be random
crashes. And folder to rename is not Users/“username”/Library/Application Support/
Steinberg folder, that one is wrong one. Correct one is at root level Library where
OSX is installed.

To get it run, order of operations is important:

- Uninstall previous version 9.5.40 by deleting app.
0. Install elicenser control center from elicenser site if not already installed
1. Install Cubase 9.5.41 with included Update installer in CA9541installer, it is
updater, but installs full version also, so no need to get ISO version
2. Right click Cubase 9.5 in Applications, and select Show Package Contents
3. Replace Cubase 9.5 executable in Contents/MacOS folder with patched
executable in CA9541patch
4. Delete Contents/VST3 folder
5. Delete Contents/VSTPlugins folder
6. Copy VST3 folder in CA9541patch to Contents folder, so there should be new
Contents/VST3 folder by now containing only Cubase LE AI Elements Plug-in
Set.vst3 file
7. Check all works this far by launching Cubase 9.5 and selecting Artist
8. It will show No licenser connected, just cancel twice
9. Disable in preferences/general ”use hub” option
10. To get mediabay/MixConsoleFX/vstpresets working there must be Cubase
Elements 8 trial visible in Elicense control center. There are two ways 10.1 and 10.2,
only one needs to be done, 10.1 is riskier for Mac as it requires to change system
time forward temporarily, but it is probably better. 10.2 works in problem cases
always too.
10.1 In this route first make sure Elicense control center is not open. Disable ”Set
date and time automatically” option. Then move system time forward to for example
year 2035. Save time. Check it really is at year 2035. Install Cubase Elements trial in
CE8trial from pkg without customising installation options, just install it. Open
License control center and never do use maintenance option, cancel it always if it
asks it. There should be Elements 8 Trial visible at expiration 2035. Close license
control center and change clock back proper time.
10.2 In this route first make sure Elicense control center is not open. Install Cubase
Elements trial in CE8trial from pkg without customising installation options, just install
it. Open License control center and never do use maintenance option, cancel it
always if it asks it. There should be Elements 8 Trial visible working 30 days. Always
after 30 days when trial is expired delete Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/
Syncrosoft Soft-eLicenser/SeLicenser.sel file. This removes demo license. Delete
Cubase Elements 8 in Applications. Install Cubase Elements trial in CE8trial from
pkg without customising installation options, just install it. Sometimes need to
uninstall Elicense control Center too from uninstaller in original Elicense control
center installer, and then reinstall Elicense control center.
11. Steinberg Content/some factory plugins cannot be used, otherwise Cubase 9.5
will crash randomly or soon after it is launched. This means rename Macintosh HD/
Library/Application Support//Steinberg folder name to for example Macintosh HD/
Library/Application Support//notusedSteinberg name. This must always be done after
installing/reinstalling any Steinberg app be it Cubase or other because folder is being
recreated by installers.
12. Launch Cubase 9.5 and select Artist, mediabay/mixerFX should work, if not
check there is Cubase Elements 8 trial visible in Elicense control center.
