Chapter 1 Overview

1.1 Introduction
OC6000e Show Case weights 28 Kg, so it can be carried like a suitcase by only one
person. There are all necessary equipments for OC6000e in the sales kit,
furthermore some key equipments are redundant. We can demonstrate not only
system basic functions but also the redundancy exchanges anywhere.

Figure 2.2-1 N-Tron Switch

Hirschman switch (type: RS2-1600M) is recommended for UDH, it has 16 RJ45 ports
and 2 Fiber optic ports. To save space, we install one MOXA EDS-205 switch for UDH
network. We connect all UDH-A and UDH-B to MOXA EDS-205, and then configure
192.168.101.X and 192.168.102.X IP address to one net-card in HMI station. So HMI
station can communicate two UDH network using one net-card.

after power on IO module.
A green LED labeled Run shows the firmware status. When firmware is in
initialization or download phase, there is a flash rate with 1 per second, or else there
is a flash rate with 2 per second. When CPU died, the LED will be steady or off.
A red LED labeled Internal Error shows the failure of RAM, EEPROM, Flash, RAM set
value and EEPROM set value, and the high inside temperature, and the wrong board
match, which will be off when failure recovers.
A red LED labeled External Error shows the failure of open and short circuit of
channel, which will be off when failure recovers.

GEK-114941 OC6000e Show Case User Manual 5

transmitted and received over the Ethernet port A with a flash rate with 2 per
second. When lose Ethernet communication, the LED will be off. When CPU died, the
LED will be steady or off.
A green LED labeled Net B indicates the communication state when the package is
transmitted and received over the Ethernet port B with a flash rate with 2 per

10) Repeat above steps to witch B, the results should be same.

3.2.3 UCSA Power Input High Selection

Because there is only one power input port in each UCSA, high selection diodes have
been added to UCSA power input to get higher reliability. The demonstration steps
are as below:
1) Close two UCSA power switches.
2) Open UCSA power 1, there is only one DC power for UCSA power input high
selection.
3) Both UCSA should work normally, and there is no any diagnostics message.

3.5 Diverse Temperature Sensor Signals Detection

MAI20 module can accept many type TC/RTD signals. Pt100, Cu50, TC-K, TC-E, TC-J
and TC-T, 6 kinds of temperature transducers are installed in Sales Kit. The real time
data measured by different transducers could be monitored in the figure.

3.6 Close-loop Control Demonstration

There is one close-loop control configuration of water level in our DEMO system. The
level setting value can be modified, then system will adjust the feed valve’s position
according to the PID output, the water level will reach the setting value finally. The
demonstration steps are as below:
1) Open bleed valve of water tank.
2) Set feed valve to auto mode.

4) System will adjust the feed valve’s position according to the PID output, and
the water level will reach the setting value finally.

3.7 DI/DO Basic Function Demonstration

4 DO signals from DO relays are connected to 4 DI channels. The demonstration
steps are as below:
1) Click “Start” pushbutton in DO-DI testing figure to start testing,
2) DO module send pulse every 2 seconds in the four channels, the four DI
channels will detect “1” signals, “Channel-LED” in the front panel of DI module
should be ON, and the displaying area in the figure should be filled in red color,
3) Click “Stop” pushbutton in DO-DI testing figure to end this testing.

3.8 Proximity switch Signal Detection

DI module can support 2 types Proximity Switch that are NPN and PNP. Total 2
Proximity Switches are installed in Sales Kit, one is PNP type, another one is NPN
type. The demonstration should follow the steps as below:
1) Push the Proximity Switch until it nearly touch metal frame, the connected DI
channel is “1”, “Channel-LED” in the front panel of DI module is ON, and the
display area for Proximity Switch signal is filled with red color,
2) Release the Proximity Switch, it will go back to initial position, the connected DI
channel is “0”, “Channel-LED” in the front panel of DI module is OFF, and the
display area for Proximity Switch signal is filled with gray color,

3.14 DPU Online Configuration Demonstration

3.14.1 Link DPU
First choose a DPU item from the tree view, and then select menu “File→Link DPU”
or click tool bar button ,the connection between SystCFG and the selected DPU
may be created only under the following conditions:
1) The selected DPU is on line.
2) The user is authorized to have a writable access to the DPU.
After connection, the corresponding DPU name will appear in the list window. Colors
of green, blue, yellow or red represent the status of master/ slave control, initiation
or linking fault respectively. At this point, the user may continue with further
configuration and operations.

Note The connection and login processes are done automatically.

3.14.2 Upload DPU Configuration

If there has been the configuration in DPU and the user needs to modify its contents
online, then the DPU configuration needs to be uploaded to ENG.
1) Login DPU

2) Select menu “File→Upload” or click icon in the toolbar to upload DPU

configuration
Error information:
If the version of the current DPU software is inconsistent with that of the DPU
software on ENG, such information will appear as shown in Figure 3.14-1.

GEK-114941 OC6000e Show Case User Manual 23

Figure 3.14-1 Inconsistent version warning
At this point, there are two possibilities:
1) DPU is not configured, i.e. empty;
2) The software is not consistent in version.
The user has to use a DPU configuration software whose version is consistent with
that of the current DPU configuration software to upload and save the configuration.
Then he must upgrade the version of the current DPU configuration software in
order to re-download the former configuration into the DPU.

3.14.3 Debug and Modify DPU Configuration Online

Online DPU debugging is to test whether the DPU configuration meets the designed
controlling strategy by inputting or simulating I/O signals and to modify as well as
to improve the DPU configuration according to the debugging result.

After users log on DPU with ENG or SENG level and upload the DPU configuration,
the DPU object will be in the status of online modification. Once completed, such
operations as page modifying and function blocks modifying will all be effective. The
user must pay attention to the online modification of DPU, especially to operations
like adding new blocks, deletion and paste functions. In the meantime, the user
should also avoid moving or deleting several selected blocks because it is rather
time-consuming. If the user just wants to debug by modifying parameters, it is
better to login with SOPU level in order to avoid improper operation.

When you select a configuration page in online DPU; the user may see blocks & their
on-off status link line represented by several colors in the edit window. Refer to
Table 3.14.3-1 for more specific information.

Table 3.14-1 online function blocks/ link line colors

Configuration Colors Meaning
elements
Blocks Green Function block works well.
Red There may be three conditions:
1. Input signal is invalid.
2. Calculation overflows (e.g. divided by zero)
3. Trouble of judging by blocks, e.g. difference between the two input
signals of analog function block exceeds the setting value.

Pink Function block has been closed.

The user can see each function block’s input and output in configuration page. By
double clicking the blocks, the user can call the dialog box of function block
attributes, which contains the specific information of the blocks. The user can also
set attributes (such as input /output and parameters etc.) of the blocks, carry out
some operations (such as open/close and adjustment etc) and modify point
database data if the function block outputs value onto the net.

3.14.4 Disconnect DPU

The user can disconnect DPU after finishing DPU online debugging and modifying.
‰ Select DPU requiring disconnecting in edit window

‰ Select “File→Close Link” or click tool bar button to disconnect DPU. If the
DPU configuration has been modified but not saved, the system will prompt a
confirming box shown as Figure 3.14-2.

Figure 3.14-2 Disconnect DPU confirming

Click ”Yes” to save DPU configuration and disconnect the DPU. Click “No” to
disconnect it without saving. And click “Cancel” to undo DPU disconnecting.
