Honeywell AlarmNet Communication FAQs – (Revised 08/28/2006)

What central station upgrades are necessary to accept GSM communicator signaling?
None. An existing AlarmNet central station does not have to make any changes to accept GSM signals. The routing of GSM signals
will be the same as previously designated for the specified City CSID.

What is necessary for registration of GSM communicator?


GSM accounts will be registered using AlarmNet-I accounts. Accounts may be issued using AlarmNet Direct at
(https://services.alarmnet.com/AlarmNetDirect) or by contacting AlarmNet Administration. The new line of products may be
registered using the standard 7720P programmer, utilizing AlarmNet Direct, or by contacting our tech support services at 1-800-222-
6525 option 1.

What steps are needed to replace an existing C series radio with a GSM communicator?
Any AlarmNet-C series radio may be replaced by simply registering the GSM communicator using the standard 7720P programmer,
utilizing AlarmNet Direct, or by contacting our tech support services at 1-800-222-6525 option 1. A PIN number must be entered,
consisting of the last four digits of the AlarmNet-C radio's MIN number. The AlarmNet-C series replacement procedure is detailed in
the quick guide contained in the box of the GSM communicator.

What new central station messages are associated with the new communication products?
E314 = Battery Charger Failure – 7845GSM and 7845i-GSM products
R314 = Battery Charger Restore – 7845GSM and 7845i-GSM products
E350 00 C951 = Primary Communication Path Failure – 7845i-GSM product (Internet Failure)
R350 00 C951 = Primary Communication Path Restore –7845i- GSM product (Internet Restore)
