MOMENTOUS EVENTS, VIVID MEMORIES
David B. Pillemer

Pillemer surveys what cognitive psychologists have discovered

about memory for personal life events. He has a gift not only for
describing interesting research (including his own research about
what people remember from their university days) but also for
spotting examples from the biographies of famous people. The
Michael Jordan story alone is worth the price of the book. Recom-
mended for people interested in the academic literature on memo-
ries of defining moments.
