Course Description: An in-depth study of World History, starting from Early Civilizations to
The Cold War.

Method of Instruction: Instruction will be through lectures, group discussions, reading


requirements and student made presentations. Weekly quizzes and tests will be used to
determine and monitor student growth and understanding.

Several pencils. Pack of colored pencils.

Sharpener. Ream of printer paper.

Pens. Pack of lined paper for your binder.

Highlighters One 4 subject notebook

Ruler.

Class Rules and Expectations.

Be in class on time, seated and ready to work.

Leave socializing and gossiping for outside.

Have your own materials, don’t borrow, don’t lend.

Raise your hand to get the teachers attention.

Be respectful of each other’s property, space and ideas.

Work being handed in must be neatly done and in compliance with the teacher’s directives.

Do your own work, no copying or plagiarizing.

Do not leave your seat unless directed to do.

Keep the classroom tidy, garbage goes in the garbage can.

Put cell phones and earbuds away, unless their use is a part of the lesson.

Electrical outlets will not be used for charging phones or earbuds.

If absent from school, work missed must be made up within 2 days.
