PROFESSIONAL QUALIFYING EXAMINATIONS OF
THE INSTITUTE OF CHARTERED SHIPBROKERS
The International Trade and Shipping Academy (ITS Academy)
is proud to announce the commencement of Full-time classes
delivered at the Peterborough Regional College campus for the
Professional Qualifying Examinations (PQE), leading to
membership of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers for
international students.
This two year programme is designed principally, to prepare
candidates for Qualifying Examinations leading to membership
of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (MICs).
The programme provides the mandatory 15 hours weekly
study which international students need to obtain a UK TIER
4 Student Visa.

PQE COURSE FEE: £5,500 per annum (excluding ICS registration /exam entry fees)

Exemptions:
Candidates are advised to apply directly to the Chartered Institute of Shipbrokers for validation of any relevant
professional or educational qualifications.

Entry Requirements:
All candidates must be at least 18 years old, IELTS 6.0 (minimum of 5.0 in each component) GSCEs required: 3 GCSEs at
Grade C or above in English, Mathematics or Business Studies and Humanities or equivalent qualifications.

ICS Student Membership:

Candidates need to register as students of the Institute first and then complete an examination form.

ICS Foundation - Fees: £2,750)

The Diploma is ideal for candidates with little industry experience. A good introduction into the shipping industry, it involves
taking the subject: Introduction to Shipping plus one of the Group Two subjects that we offer, these being: Dry Cargo
Chartering, Tanker Chartering, Multimodal Transport & Logistics, Liner Trades and Port & Terminal Management.

ICS Advanced Diploma (AD) - Fees (£2,750)

(Student Visitor Visa)
This Diploma is ideal for candidates with some shipping knowledge. It involves taking the ICS benchmark paper subject:
Shipping Business plus one of the Group Two subjects that we offer, these being: Dry Cargo Chartering, Tanker Chartering,
Multi-modal Transport & Logistics, Liner Trades and Port & Terminal Management.

Assessment: Exams are held annually around the world in April and November.
