Balcony Noise Attenuation

using Formboard top pine Panels®
Version 1.0

General Information
Individual panel segmentation within the following design size:

The smaller dimension of the finished parts must not exceed 1300 mm,
if coating is required.

Our Formboard top pine® panel is a high-density fibreboard bonded with polyurethane. The
material is moisture-resistant and it therefore suitable for external applications.
The panels are laser-cut to exact dimensions and coated in any desired RAL/NCS S colour. The
panels are available in 10 and 18 mm thickness.

The Advantages at a Glance

Important Storage/Sorting Note
Formboard top pine® panels must never be stored outside in unprotected flat/horizontal
position during sorting. Paint damage may occur, if water remains on the panels in a horizontal
position! Please store in a protected location and always place the supplied, dry PU-foam
foils between the individual panels.

Information on Data Submission for Orders

When ordering Bruag Formboard top pine® façade panels, please note the following:
The following file formats can be submitted
DWG / DXF files
Cadwork 2D or 3D files
Information and Structure
Bruag panels must be drawn on a separate layer
1:1 scale drawing
Dimension of at least one longitudinal and transverse edge to enable verification of scale
Drill holes (drawn as closed circle), cut-outs etc. are drawn as required
Placeholders/markers for areas that are to be perforated and for which we should draw the
corresponding perforation for you.
Custom Patterns
The following specifications must be observed for custom patterns:
Pattern must be created as CAD drawing (DWG or DXF file)

The diameter of the drill holes is usually 6 mm. The panels are fixed by means of
“façade screws with truss head”, diameter 4.8 mm, supplied by Bruag.
Alternatively, rivets or other screw types may be used. These must be provided by the
contractor and must comply with the applicable requirements. We can paint the
chosen fastenings on request.

Details and Connections

The overall design should be at least 80 mm, ideally 100 mm. The substructure can be
made using wood or metal profiles. Formboard top pine® panels are covered first with a
fleece or felt and then with a layer of insulation of 30 mm thickness. The cavity behind
should be 30 to 50 mm to absorb low-pitched noise.

Section Design

Section with Shadow Gap Section with Edge Gap

For rectangular areas, it is recommended that the structure be set away from the edge
on all sides by approx. 100 mm. This makes design and construction more efficient,
especially inside buildings.
