NARATIVE REPORT
58 PSME NATIONAL QUIZ CONTEST

8:00 am – 2:00 pm

On the 13th day of October 2010, the Philippine society of mechanical

engineers our celebrating the 58th annual national convention hosted by
PSME Laguna QBL chapter at Philippine International Convention Center
Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City.
The Philippine society of mechanical engineers MSEUF student chapter
are proud to represent our school so that they joined the 58 th national quiz
contest as part of our 58th annual national convention, were thirty different
schools was participating in this contest including PSME MSEUF student
chapter.
The programmed formally start at 10:30 am for registration of the
participants follows for welcome remarks by engr. Ramon A. Picornel Jr. the
PSME Executive Vice President, opening remarks, introduction of
participating schools and introduction of board of judges.
These contests are divided into two parts, the first part is the
elimination round and the second part is the final round. In the first part they
have three categories first is the Basic Mathematics, the second is the
Machine Design, and the last is the Industrial Power Plant Design.
Later on, the entire participant proceeded in there sitting arrangement
and waiting for the formal start of the contest. At the end of the first
category the management decided to stop temporarily the contest for a 15
minutes launched break.
At the end of part one only top 10 in the ranked move on for the next
part the final round, and the other 20 teams was eliminated including PSME
MSEUF student chapter. The contest was end at 4:00 pm for the awarding
ceremony of the winners the (UC) University of Cebu is the overall champion
for this contest.
The program was formally end at 4:30 pm by giving a closing remarks
and acknowledgement by Engr. Leonardo M. Cometa the PME president,
PSME Laguna QBL (host) chapter.
The Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers MSEUF student chapter
got only 25th place out of 30 teams. It’s a wonderful experience for Philippine
Society of Mechanical engineers MSEUF student chapter to study hard and
keeping it’s a challenge to become a better in every contest that we were
joining in the future.
