After the one week course on this subject, data analysis and business intelligence, I learnt how to
make decisions by data analysis as it is a process of collecting, organizing, analyzing and
evaluating data to discover accurate information, appropriate conclusion and supportive decision

data i.e. qualitative and quantitative and their level of measurement on various scales which is
very important in carrying out research. Consequently, I also got to learn about proper methods
to collect data, analyze data properly and present the result effectively.

Moreover, other learnings I gained are: statistics helps in decision making based on the data and
make accurate predictions in business. We can use different statistical diagrams to represent data
as well as compare data for instance, cumulative polygon helps to compare data of different
situations. These learning would help me in future for running business as we need to take
decisions accurately in different situations by analyzing different data and
information[ CITATION SSW48 \l 1033 ].

For example, if a company is going through loss, by the use of data analysis we can find out
from when profit of the business is going down then, we can carry out a survey for finding out
the possible reasons of loss and take decisions on the basis of the result of the survey to solve the
problem.
