2. Overview
Introducing Daejeon Daejeon is a metropolitan city belonging to 8 major metropolitan cities
(including Seoul) in Korea. Daejeon University is in Daejeon. Daejeon is located in the central
part of South Korea, so traveling is convenient (takes only 1 hour from Daejeon to Seoul by
express train(KTX)), prices are inexpensive, and more than 1.5 million Daejeon citizens use
standard Korean. Therefore, Daejeon is an ideal city for foreign students to study in Korea.

Introducing DJU! Deajeon University was founded in 1981 with Educational Philosophy
pursing development of nation, creation of culture, and contribution to society. Through
more than 50 Departments in 7colleges, we offer education with theory and practicality
to help our students have not only knowledge but also the right sense of values in
globalized society

A Great University to study abroad! DJU! To help foreign students adapt to

new environments, International Student Service Center(ISSC) plays a role of assisting all
international students and also enhancing the intimate relations between faculty and
students. Each semester, many Korean cultural activities like sports day, food festival, and
field trips are held to support internationals students to adjust to different environments
and to understand different cultures.

3. Important Notes
① Applicants should meet the application requirements for 2020 GKS for Graduate course.
② All Documents Submitted will NOT be returned to the applicants
③ All application documents must be written either in Korean or in English
④ If an applicant has to submit the photocopied documents, the applicant MUST have the
copies notarized or apostilled and then submit the notarized or apostilled copies
⑤ Students can apply for only one of the institutes among Korean embassy in their
countries, universities in Korea, and institutes for adopted children. If students apply for
more than one institution, he or she will be excluded from the selection.
⑥ Transferring to a different university is not permitted in any case after confirming the host university.
⑦ If the details on the application form are not true or the documents are not properly made out,
the admission will be canceled.
