“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honourable, to be

compassionate, and to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.”

― Ralph Waldo Emerson

Taal volcano erupted once more after 42 years. The January 2020 eruption has
devastated thousands of families and caused destruction worth millions within days
after the January 12 initial eruption.

The risks that volcanic and earthquake activities pose have the greatest impact on the
poorest people in the world. Hazards like this are something that may cause human and
building destruction. Many volcanic and seismic events occur that trigger human
hazards. The poorest people in the world are also hit the hardest especially to the poor
people living in Batangas, Quezon, Laguna and Cavite.

It is distressing news to hear that once again nature hits its destructive force. We were
just experiencing a series of huge earthquakes in Mindanao and another casualty has
happened to the poor people of Batangas and its neighbouring cities. We truly have no
control within this matter that is why it is in our best interest to help in our simplest and
modest way. Our RE subject has this initiative to raise funds to give an ample help to
those who are victims of the Taal’s catastrophic event. With or without this initiative, we
must keep an open heart and give with our hearts generosity. There a lot of people in
need, even the littlest amount can go bounds we can never imagine. We fellow
Mindanao citizen has suffered from the devastating earthquakes and a lot of help has
blessed us abundantly. It is our time to also help those people who are in desperate
need of our help. We are one and united country, the suffering of one is the suffering of
many. Happiness starts from the moment you're doing something for others. Those of
us who support others regularly are happy and encounter little hurdles in their lives. It is
a fulfilling task that fills our souls. No one has ever become poor by giving.
