Proposed Construction of In Situ Septic Tank

2450mm x 3100mm x 2400mm deep internally,
consisting of 150mm thick sloping base reinforced
with 12 mm diameter bars at 225 mm centre both
ways,reinforced external and intermediate
wallsreinforced with 12mm diamatar steel bars at
225 mm centres both ways , reinforced
concrete(1:2:4) belt beam at top reinforced with
4No. 16 mm steel bars and 10mm diameter stirrups
at 225 mm centres,150 mm thick reinforced
concrete(1:2:4) cover slab reinforced with 12mm
diameter bars at 150 mm centres both ways,Internal
surfaces rendered and finished and finished with
steel float,2No. 100mm diameter PVC inlet and
outlet pipes and including all
excavations,disposal,form work etc.

Site Preparation

Excavate over site notexceeding 150 mm deep to

1 remove vegetation and store in spoil heap
Excavation

Excavate 2550mm wide x3400 mm long to depth

not exceeding 2400 mm and grade to fall for base of
2 septic tank, commencing at strip site level

Concrete Work

12mm mild steel bars fixing in foundation at 225mm

3 centre both ways

Reinforced concrete Nominol (1:2:4)mix 21N/m²,

150 mm thick laid to falls and cross falls as
4 sloping baseincluding steel float finish.

Reinforced concrete Nominol (1:2:4) in wall

5 foundation

Block Walling

150 mm reinforced concrete block wall external and

intermediate,laid around 12mm vertical steel bars at
200mm centre(measured separately) with all
6 pockets filled with (1;3: 6) concrete

12mm diamater vertical steel bars in in block

7 pockets
Belt beam

8 16 mm diamater steel reinforcement in belt beam

9 10 mm diameter bars as stirrup in

Reinforced concrete Nominol (1;2: 4) 21N/mm² in
