Hardware Engineer
Job Description
We are looking for Hardware Engineer to help us grow our team. You will a part of Hardware
Engineering Team who will be responsible for the design and development of hardware
platforms incorporating the latest CPU ARM-64bit Server Technology and State-of-the-art
communication components. You will solve a broad range of hardware problems while
developing and releasing products internally to Ampere as well as to outside customers. Your
tasks include Digital or Analog circuit design, analysis, prototyping, testing, and documenting.
You will have an opportunity to work collaboratively with, and learn from industry veteran
designers and architects to create a breakthrough design for cloud computing. Our engineers are
excited about technology and innovation and channel that energy to deliver world-class products.
Responsibilities

 Design and develop digital circuits for hardware products

 Coordinate project deliverable with Marketing, Diagnostic, Software, and ASIC team
leads
 Evaluate and select digital/analog hardware components based on performance, cost and
feature tradeoffs
 Perform schematic capture and work with CAD engineers to do component placement
and Printed Circuit Board layout
 Coordinate directly with contract manufacturers to develop Printed Circuit Board
fabrication and assembly
 Define and develop hardware test plan to ensure that the hardware meets performance
and functional requirements

Qualifications

 0-1+ years of digital hardware design experience

 Knowledge on the simulation tool like Hyperlynx, Cadence Sigrity is a plus
 Knowledge with OrCAD schematic capture and Allegro PCB Design tools are preferred
 Good communication skills in English                                                                         

Education

 BS/MS/ Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering or related discipline is

required
