The latest editions of the quoted standards shall apply. KS B 5202 MICROMETER KS B 5203 VERNIER CALIPER KS C IEC 61386-1 PIPE SYSTEM FOR ELECTRICAL FACILITIES - PART 1 : GENERAL REQUIREMENTS KS C IEC 61386-21 PIPE SYSTEM FOR ELECTRICAL FACILITIES - PART 1 REQUIREMENTS FOR HARD PIPE SYSTEMS INDIVIDUAL 3. Terms and definitions ‘The terms and definitions given in 3 of KS ¢ IEC 61386-21 shall apply. 4 Requirements ‘The general requirements given in 4 of KS C IEC 61386-21 shall apply. 5 General notes and safety for test Tests shall be conducted in accordance with § of KS C IEC 61386-21. The pre-processing time shall be 24 hours. 6 Symbols ‘The symbols of pipes shall be FEP. 7 Material ind manufacturing method 7.4 The materials of pipes shall be polyethylene or compounds thereof, and manufactured with extrusion molding, 7.2 Carbon black with a mean particle diameter of less than 0.03}1m shall be mixed with 2-3% of weights Uniformly distributed in order to improve the anti-aging and weatherabilty properties of pipes. In this case, flame resistance tests shall only apply to pipes marked ‘flame resistant. Tensileforce | It shall be greater than 2000Niom Voltage Itehall be of an AC vollage of 10000V for 1 minute resistance test ‘Shock test Splits or cracks shallnot be observed. ‘Chemicals ‘Weight change (g/m?) by sodium chloride solution Less than #05 resistance test [ Weight change (g/m*) by sulphuric acid solution Less than £0.5 Weight change (gim*) by nitrate solution Less than #1.0 Weight change (g/m) by sodium hydroxide solution Less than 40.5 Weight change (g/m?) by ethyl alcohol solution Less than 44.0 Fire danger To adhere to related regulations of 13 of KS C IEC 61386-21 14 Structure a) The inner surface of pipes shall be smooth in order to protect cables from being damaged during insertion and use, and the inner and outer surfaces shall have no problems observed, such as scars, splits, or twists. ») Pipes shall be cut perpendicular to the pipe axis, and their cut section shall be circular and smooth. ©) Pipes shall be corrugated as shown in figure 4 (refer to figure 1). 4) In pipes of less than the label of 80, paving wires made by covering 1.6mm steel wires with vinyl of over 0.2mm shall be included. In pipes greater than the label of 100, paving wires made by covering 2.0mm steel wires with vinyl of greater than 0.3mm shall be included. These paving wires shall not have any detrimental scars. Steel wires shall contain no seams, 12. Test method 12.4 Structure, mrkings, and dimensions Regarding the regulations of 8 and 11, dimensions are measured by using measuring apparatuses as outlined in KS B §202 and KS B 5203, or their equivalent, and labels without the standard dimensions shall be in accordance with 8 of KS C IEC 61386-21. 42.2 Compressions test Take specimens of 200mm, insert them between two flat plates as shown in figure add compression loads represented in the following at a speed of 20mmimin in a direction perpendicular to the pipes’ axis. KS C 8455 : 2005 Comprassion test Figure 4 12.3 Tensile force The same materials that are used for pipes shall be cut in flat plates in the course of extrusion to extract dumbbell type test pieces as shown in figure 2. Then draw the scale marks on the center with a width of 25mm. Measure thicknesses in various places within the target points to stretch the test pieces at tensile speeds of (200%20)mm/min by hanging them in stretching test machines. Measure the maximum loads when the test pieces are being cut. Then, calculate tensile force using the following formula, and mark the test results with the average value of each of the three test pieces. ‘When being cut outside of the distance between the scale marks, test pieces shall be tested again for the ‘same time as the cut numbers. The test temperature shall be (2342)*C. When measuring this temperature, measured values are converted to values of 23°C according to the converting formula (refer to the reference). Then, examine whether the specimens endure the power for 1 minute while rapidly increasing the AC voltage of the waveform close to 60Hz sine wave between both electrodes from OV to 10,000V. 12.8 Shock test Take specimens of 750nm and leave them at (-201)*C for 5 hours. Drop them twice from a height of 1.5m on concrete flooring, while keeping the temperature low. ‘The first falling pipe shall be dropped at an angle of about 45° with its end portion facing downward, The second falling pipe shall be dropped parallel to the flooring. After that, examine whether the specimens have any problems. 12.6 Chemicals resistance test Take 3 flat plate shaped specimens of about 109 from each various test solution, and soak the test pieces in a test solution"? at (60:2)°C for § hours. Then, wash them in flowing water for § seconds. After wiping the moisture on the surface of them off with a dry rag, place them in weighing bottles, and immediately measure the weight. Calculate the weight changes according to the following formula, and mark the average value of the 3 test pieces per each test solution, W-W, A Where, W: Change of weight (gm?)
