Fault Tracing
The checks below are grouped by gauge. Make sure to consider observed symptoms or
fault codes when checking gauges. For pin-outs , see “Connector Pinouts”, page 8 . For
complete circuit information refer to the electrical schematics on the dealer’s portal.

Display
Fault Tracing
The checks below are for fault tracing the instrument cluster display. Make sure to consider
observed symptoms or fault codes when checking the display.
Speaker
Fault Tracing
The checks below are for fault tracing the speaker integrated in the rear of the instrument
cluster. Make sure to consider observed symptoms or fault codes when checking the
speaker.
Tests
Instrument Cluster Self Tests
The following 4 tests can be carried out via the display using
the controls on the stalk switch. The tests are available
under the display menu “System diagnostics.” For further
information, refer to the manufacturer’s scan tool.
Gauge Test
This test checks that the gauge pointers are working.
Display Test
This test checks that all pixels can be activated and
deactivated.
Speaker Test
This test checks whether the speaker is working.
