I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content The learner demonstrates understanding of how Anglo- American
Standards literature and other text types serve as means of connecting to the world;
also how to use ways of analyzing one-act play and different forms of
verbals for him/ her to skillfully perform in a one-act play.

B. Performance The learner skillfully performs in one-act play through utilizing effective
Standard verbal and non-verbal strategies and ICT resources based on the
following criteria: Focus, Voice, Delivery, and Dramatic Conventions.

A. Motivation Are You Lost in the World Like Me?


Let students watch a short clip on how social media affects the lives of
consumers (users). Ask them to point out three (3) powerful images that
they have seen and record those on their task sheet.

B. Presentation of 1. Tell the students that they will read a text entitled, “For
Lesson Conversation, Press #1.” Ask them what they think the text is all
about based on the title.
2. Process the answers of the students.
3. Instruct the students to get their copies of the text from their
learning packet and to read the text silently. As they read, they
complete a graphic organizer on the positive and negative impacts
of technology to human relations.
C. Discussion 1. Ask the students to discuss their answers. Possible answers are:
• Positive effects: making tasks easier and convenient for people
• Negative effects: lessened interaction with others makes the
author lonely
2. A comic strip version of the reading text may be presented to class
for illustration purposes.

D. Evaluation Ask students to answer the comprehension questions about the text that
they have read. Check the answers afterwards.
