The Eco Committee at St. Madoes Primary School met to discuss various sustainability initiatives. They reported on installing new and larger compost bins that were working well in collecting fruit scraps. They also planned to trial an outdoor compost bin and source new carbon filters. On recycling, they thanked a donor for new bin labels and reminded classes to use both sides of paper. Most of the remaining budget would be spent on new bird feeders and food. Other discussions included displaying a litter poster, ideas for an eco/health week, setting a blogging schedule, and announcing the winners of a "Snack in a Box" challenge.
