5 more competency-based INTERVIEW questions: 1. Tell me a little about yourself 2.

Tell me about a
time when you went above and beyond for a customer? 3. Tell me what your former manager would
say about you. 4. Tell me how you handled a stressful situation. 5. Tell me how you prioritise when
more situations come up suddenly, aside from those that you were prepared for. These questions
were posed to one of my clients in interview this morning. Which TRANSFERABLE skills are being
tested? (Numbering corresponds to questions) 1. Many. Answer with 2 lines of “what” you are
professionally, followed by several lines of “who” you are in terms of soft/ transferable skills +
personal attributes. 2. Client building/relationships. 3. Self-critique/introspection/self-awareness. 4.
Stress Management/Resilience 5. Time Management/Decisiveness In answering ALL questions in
interviews, use the C.A.R. Technique C-context A-action R-result (Or STAR method) You can prepare
for such questions well ahead of interviews. Identify your TRANSFERABLE skills and be sure to
