Calculate - Slug calculation in barrels for a Length of DRY Pipe.

Data:
Length of Dry Pipe = 276 feet
Mud Weight ppg = 12.5 ppg
Slug Weight = 14.5 ppg
Drill Pipe Capacity (4.5 in Drill Pipe) = 0.01422 bbl/ft
Standard or Constant = 0.052

Calculations:
1. Hydrostatic Pressure psi = 179.4 psi
2. Pressure Gradient Change psi = 0.104 psi
3. Slug Length in feet = 1725 feet
4. Slug Volume in bbls = 24.5295 bbls
NOTE: There are 4 Steps that must be taken to calculate a slug for dry pipe. T
steps are as follows:

1. HP psi = Mud Weight ppg x 0.052 x lenght of DRY pipe in feet

2. Pressure Gradient Change psi = (slug weight ppg - mud weight ppg
3. Slug Length ft = pressure in psi / change in pressure gradient psi-ft
4. Slug volume bbls = slug length ft x drill pipe capacity bbl-ft
