Question no 1: Describe and evaluate Giordano’s product, business and

corporate strategy?
The Giordano’s products is targeted to the casual clothes men, women and
children. Simplicity and focus are reflecting on the way Giordano merchandised its
goods.
Business strategy: Its excellent inventory management to reduce costs and allowed
reasonable margins while still allowing Giordano’s to reinforce its value for money
philosophy.
Corporate strategy: To make people feel good and look great.
Question no 2:Describe and evaluate Giordano’s current position strategy.
Should Giordano’s reposition itself against its competitors in it current and
new markets, and should it have different positioning strategies for different
geographical markets?
Current positioning strategy is mid-priced positioning strategy worked well
inexpensive, yet contemporary looking outfits appealed to Asia frugal customers,
especially during a period of economic slowdown. However over time this position
is inconsistent with the brand image that Giordano try to build over hard over the
years.
As such Giordano started to focus on reestablishing clear brand images and

advantage ? are its competitive advantages sustainable and how would they
develop in the future?

and operational strategy and tactics when entering and penetrating your
country?
When ever entering into the new country you must have to follow their terms and
conditions and must observe what trend in their culture follows. The marketing is
same but the scope of economy is change and vary to the country to county .
Question no 6: what general lesson learn from Giordano for the major
clothing retailers in your country?
I learn lesson from Giordano for other retailers because their outstanding strategies
has leading to success and making profit. The basic concept of value for money
can be a good lesson for other cloth retailers.
