1. Display flag flashcards and elicit pupils’ response.
Pre-Lesson
2. Play Friends song and ask pupils to sing a long.
1. Pupils open their textbook (pg 5). Ask pupils to listen and match the countries to the flags.
2. Ask pupils’ opinion on what the girls are doing in activity 3.
3. Ask pupils to focus on the grammar box. Explain the use of contractions.
4. Handout worksheets to pupils. Pupils discuss with their friends.
Lesson Delivery
5. Distribute a piece of paper to each pupil.
6. Ask pupils to write their name and the name of a country.
7. Collect and shuffle the papers. Give them back to pupils.
8. Each stand up and read the paper. Pupils say a simple sentence with contractions.
1. Recap the country they had learned.
Post Lesson
2. Play the song and pupils to sing.
