Report ID: ETR-327

Date Created: 16/04/2020

1. Introduction
CMP Products has been invited to design an anti-theft bracket to protect cables on the DMRC project. The
thickness of the material used will have a direct relation to how long it would potentially take to cut through
the bracket using standard hand tools.
This document will record the actual time it takes to cut through 2, 3 and 4mm stainless steel grade 316L.

2. Method

1. The SS316L cut samples will all have the same width 50mm

2. The hand tool for cutting the SS316L - Hacksaw with a partly used blade 12” X 24 TPI
