James Got a Call from IBC Software Limited and offered on Coffee at Bandra on Sunday

James joined ABL limited on 4th march, 2020 on the position of Team Lead. The role of James
was to manage a team of 20 sales managers who were working on some mutually agreed targets
for ABL limited. ABL Limited is an established company in the field of IT services solution. It
has more than 124 existing clients which includes several banks, government departments and
PSUs. James was a bright team leader and has joined ABL with 40 percent pay hike in net pay.
He is a performer in deed. So, recruiting him was not possible unless a good package is being
offered. Being a performer, when first call was made to him, he was relaxed and said life is
better, cool and comfortable here at PMCX Limited. Why should I change? The ABL Talent
Acquisition was clueless on this question, but HR Neha responded spontaneously that “we will
offer you a respectable hike” James was open to discuss about a respectable hike.

Neha made a second call to James after a week and asked for a meeting with her VP-Marketing.
James clearly told that what is your offerings, Neha said we can offer you 40 percent hike in
gross. James said if you are ready to offer 40 percent hike in net pay , I am open to this meeting.
Neha responded politely and said that she will come back to him soon. Next day she made third
call to James and asked for a convenient time on coming weekend for a cup of coffee at CCD at
Bandra ,Mumbai. James was ok at 4 pm on Sunday.The meeting was scheduled.

James met Neha and VP-Marketing on Sunday at 4pm at Bandra CCD and had a coffee .Before
he finished the coffee , Neha offered a letter to him with 40 percent hike in his take home pay
with a request mail sent then and there to him for his joining date and confirmation to offer over
mail. James was very happy with the offer and gave his consent over mail there only and said
that he needs to serve one month notice. Neha said we are ready to buy it. So, James said so, I
can join next Monday that was after a week. James joined next Monday to ABL Private limited
as Team Lead.It was a wonderful achievement of Talent Acquisition team because James
brought many client relation also with him thus lot of new businesses through those clients were
added to ABL Ltd.Hence, acquiring a talent like James through poaching not only helped the
organization to gain new businesses but also it was done silently without allowing any gossips
coming out. The deal was done on coffee on a non-working day at a non-official location.The
mission was called “Mission Poaching James” and it was completed successfully.
