3 A company has a battery of identical machines. Belts on these 20 4 5 1,2

individual belt is estimated at Rs 50. The company is now thinking of
adopting the concept of group replacement wherein all belts shall be
replaced at regular intervals and only individually those which fail
between the intervals. The cost of replacing all 100 belts is estimated
at Rs 1000.
