Objective: To Study and verify the Super position Theorem.
Apparatus:

 Project board
 Digital multimeter
 Resistors
 Variable DC power supply
 Proteus Software
Statement:

The superposition theorem for electric circuits states that the total current in any branch of a
bilateral linear circuit equals the algebraic sum of the currents produced by each source acting
separately throughout the circuit.

Procedure:

1. Draw the circuit according to the Fig.1 on the project board.


2. Note down the value of the current total current I due to two sources
3. Remove one source as shown in Fig.2
4. Record I’
5. Make circuit according to Fig.3 and record I’’.
6. The total current in the circuit will be equal to the sum of the individual currents due the
two sources.
