Research Question 
What further measures should be taken in Songdo to attain its goal of becoming a global city?

Thesis Statement 
Songdo should evaluate its original goals and remember its own developmental history to
determine its next step toward becoming a more global city.

Rationale 
I first moved to Songdo in 2009, when I was only 7 years old and have lived here for most of
my life as a student. However, during this time I never really engaged with the city much. I only
really traveled between school and home, occasionally going out with friends to eat or watch a
movie. With my newfound interest in urban development and some of the background knowledge I
have accumulated from an online course, I feel that it’s time I delve deep into the city I live in.
Overall, this report will also serve as a deep-dive investigation that will help me learn more about
urban development in the real world. Since I’m interested in pursuing this area in my future studies,
the report would be a good opportunity to gain some experience in the subject matter.
