NMS

1. Overview of NMS

NMS is a multiplatform and multiprotocol-compatible (such as SNMP, HTTP

and CLI) network management system invented by our company. NMS has various
network monitor tools, friendly customized window and simple but versatile network
configuration. Hence, the application of NMS can greatly improve the efficiency
of network operating.

NMS can realize the unified management of not only our network equipment
but also other networking equipment manufacturer's devices such as Cisco. Most
importantly, NMS can realize the real-time monitor of the whole network, making
real centralized management of the whole LAN available for the administrator.

2. System Operation Environment

2.1 Software Requirements

Operating system: Windows 7/Windows 8/Windows 10/Windows Server 2008/Windows
Server 2012

2.2 Hardware Requirements

The performance of NMS varies very much with different CPUs and memories of
the server and the client. The following lists out the basic configuration
requirements for the hardware at the server or the client:
CPU: 2 Duo CPU 3.9GHz
Memory: 16GB RAM
Minimum hardware space required by installation: 500 GB
Minimum extra hardware space required during operating: 500 GB

3. Attributes
1) Topology discovery: NMS can discover the designated network segment and
designated host, and our locate equipment and uniquely list the network troubles in
a view, all of which facilitate the related management.
2) EPON management: EPON equipment can be discovered and managed.
3) GPON management: GPON equipment can be discovered and managed.
4) Faceplate: Its faceplate supports the following switch or router models:
3660, 2640/2641, 2620, 2621, 1750, 2650, 2630, 1720, S2026, S2224, S2226, S3224,
S2116, S6508, S8510 and so on.
5) NMS supports the performance and traffic monitor of the SNMP equipment and
the traffic monitor of a designated port.
6) It supports the management of the RMON statistics group or the history
group.
7) It supports the real-time monitor of network events and network alarms.
8) Network alarm events can be collected and analyzed in a clear and visible
way such as through the list, the histogram, or the pie chart.
9) For common equipment, it supports ping, trace route and telnet.
For our equipment, it supports WEB management.
10) It supports the multi-user sharing management.
