BACHELOR OF ELEMENTARY EDUCATION:

EDUKASYON PANTAHANAN AT
PANGKABUHAYAN (EPAP 311)

Considering the nature of TLE, it provides vocational expertise and develops critical thinking among
our students. Education is a must for individual considering the problems, trends and innovations in
educational system (Padolina, 2004). Taking into consideration the global environment, people
view education not only a way of developing people’s skills but also a way of preparing our
students to be globally competitive. If the schools were able to produce quality graduates it will
redound on the quality of work they will provide in their respective workplace. The academic
track provides for a continuum toward preparation for higher tertiary education and skills
development qualifications for National Certificates I and II (NC I and NC II). While public-private
partnerships have long been in existence, industry- academe linkages and partnership are
essentially weak if not non-existent in many of our academic institutions and need to be
strengthened and made part of local socio-economic
development. This course will help students in the elementary
grades to enjoy learning skills in TLE/ EPAP that they could bring
upon growing up and become productive and competent citizens
of the nation.

This course shall include pedagogical content, knowledge and skills in technology and livelihood
education necessary in teaching and learning in the elementary level. Selected topics in home
economics, technology and livelihood education shall form major of the course, Experiential
learning approach shall be focus in this course.
At the end of the course and given relevant actual or simulated situations/conditions, the students
will be able to:
1. Enrich the students understanding of the framework of TLE/EPP.
2. Demonstrate basic knowledge, skills, and values in teaching agriculture, entrepreneurship
and ICT, home economics, and industrial arts that can help improve self and family life.
3. Demonstrate increased knowledge, skills, and values in teaching entrepreneurship and ICT,
agriculture, home economics, and industrial arts toward improving family life and the
community.

economic life and the community
