Too dan Enough

Too artinya terlalu atau sesuatu yang berlebihan, sedangkan enough berarti cukup.

Contoh:

1. He is too old to play with us. (Dia terlalu tua untuk bermain bersama kami.)
2. My brother is too short to replace the lamp. (Kakakku terlalu pendek untuk mengganti
lampu.)
3. You speak too loud. (Kamu berbicara terlalu keras.)
4. I don’t have enough money to buy the pizza which you want. (Saya tidak mempunyai
uang yang cukup untuk membeli pizza yang kamu inginkan.)
5. You are not fast enough to fix this problem. (Kamu tidak cukup cepat dalam
mengatasi masalah ini.)

Formula Pembentukan Too dan Enough

Too

1. too + adjective or adverb


o You are too slow. (Kamu terlalu lambat.)
o She sleeps too long. (Dia tidur terlalu cepat.)
o He dies too fast. (Dia meninggal terlalu cepat.)
2. too much/many + noun
o You spend too much time. (Kamu menghabiskan terlalu banyak waktu.)
o There are too many people in your house. (Ada terlalu banyak orang dirumahmu.)
o Don’t tell too much secret to your friend. (Jangan banyak memberitahu rahasia
kepada temanmu.)

Enough

o I am sure she will not be fast enough. (Saya yakin dia tidak akan cukup cepat.)

pekerjaan ini?)

Charles Robert Darwin was born in Shrewsbury, England, on February 12, 1809. He came from a
wealthy family and never had to work. He studied medicine and theology. In 1831 he graduated from
University of Cambridge with a degree of theology.

He began a career as a scientist quite by chance. On December 27,1831, 22 years old Charles
Darwin joined the crew of the HMS Beagle as a naturalist.The five years expedition collected
hydrographic, geologic, and meteorologic data from South America and many other regions around
the world. Darwin's own observation on this voyage led to his theory of natural selection.

Charles Darwin was greatly influenced by the geologist Adam Sedgwick and naturalist John Henslow
in his development of the theory of natural selection, which was to become the foundation concept
supporting the theory of evolution. Darwin's theory holds that environmental effects lead to varying
degrees of reproductive success in individuals and groups of organisms. Natural selection tends to
promote adaptation in organisms when necessary for survival. This revolutionary theory was
published in 1859 in Darwin's now famous On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection.

THE EARLY LIFE OF BARACK OBAMA


Barack Obama was born on August 4, 1961 in Honolulu, Hawaii. His father
was a Kenyan named Barack Obama, Sr (Senior). His mother was a White
American named Ann Dunham. His parents separated when he was two years
old and later divorced. His father returned to Kenya and saw him only once
more before he died in an automobile accident in 1982.

After the divorce, Obama’s mother then married an Indonesian, Lolo


Soentoro. The family then moved to his stepfather’s home country in 1967.
Obama attended local schools in Jakarta until he was ten years old.

Obama returned to Honolulu in 1971. He lived with his maternal grandparents


until his graduation from high school in 1979. After that, Obama moved to Los
Angeles and studied at Occidental College for two years. He then transferred
to Columbia University in New York City.

Obama entered Harvard Law School in late 1988. He was selected as an


editor of the law review based on his grade and writing competition. In 1990,
he became the first Black president of the Harvard Law Review. He graduated
with J.D. magna cum laude from Harvard in 1989.
