unavailability of them. A thick foam pad or paper is suggested to be added on the back of them to avoid
short circuit.

3. Programming

Step 1: Click “NJY Load File (F3)” or press F3 to load programs.

For example, when you need a suitable program for the R.RM3251 LCD controller board, you should look for the folder
“RM3X51”(X for some certain number). Open it. See below pictures:

10
Note:“RM3X51_5KEY_NA” folder contains programs for 5 key keypads. Programs for 7 keys can be found in folder
“RM3X51_7KEY_NA”. ““RM3X51_5KEY_A” means programs for LCD controllers with audio(“A” stands for Audio)

PS: Programs in RM3X51 are for “R.RM3251” and “R.RM3451” LCD controller board; Programs in RM5X51 are for
“R.RM5251” and “R.RM5451” LCD controller board; Programs in RT6X51 are for “R.RT6251” and “R.RT6451” LCD
controller board.

Open “RM3X51_5KEY_NA” folder and choose suitable program for your LCD panel. Double-click the program file or open
it. See following:

11
Note: Please check your LCD model and find its resolution and differential signaling groups before choosing the
program. Do not choose a program with a resolution that is higher than controller board’s max resolution.
Otherwise, the inverter may be destroyed thereof. Do not choose a program whose name contains “A” (means
Audio), for the normal LCD controller boards (without the audio input and chips).

is an example, it may result in the unavailability. If you are

programming a controller board with audio effect, then the program with “A” is the right choice for you. For
more information of how to choose the right program, please refer to FAQ.

P.S.: In , 170MGW1 is the name of LCD, “170” means 17 inch, DO6L

means Double 6 bit (the differential signal), 1440X900 is the resolution of LCD, 5KEY means the keypad that used on
the LCD is with 5 keys.

Then it returns to previous dialog. Click “Isp” to make programming. The right bottom corner shows all the progress with a
percentage. A “beep” sound comes after programming finished. You can see the letter “success” in the dialog:

4. FAQ
Question1: How to choose the right controller board?

12
Answer: (1) Examine the interface of your LCD. All our controller boards except the R.RM3331 can be used in LCD with
LVDS interface. If your LCD is with TTL interface or TMDS interface, please select R.RM3331.

(2)Check the resolution of your LCD. For normal controller boards only with VGA port like R.RM3251C, the max
resolution that it can support is 1440x900. For LCD over resolution 1440x900, you should choose our R.RM3451
LCD controller, whose max resolution is 1920x1200. If you want to use a controller with both VGA port and DVI
port, you can choose R.RM5251 and R.RM5451 etc. All of them have different max resolution. If you want to turn
your LCD into TV, you can choose our R.RT6251 or R.RT6451 controller board. Here are some basic
specifications of our controller boards. Check below and see which model best suits you.

Note:Do not choose a controller board whose max resolution is lower than the resolution of your LCD, or it can’t
light up your LCD.
Question 2: How to choose a suitable program?
Answer: After you’ve selected a suitable controller board, you need to open the right program package for programming.
Program selecting:
(1) Select the program that exactly fits your LCD. For example: you have a LTN154X3 LCD, and then you can
choose the program “ ( the model is named in the program).

(2) If you can’t find the exact one in the list, please make sure the resolution and the differential signal groups of
the program are the same with your LCD. For example: LT141X2-124,manufactured by Samsung, is with a Single
6-bit LVDS differential Odd data input and with a resolution of 1024x768. When programming, you can choose
whatever program with the resolution of 1024x768 and with the Single 6-bit LVDS differential signal group. For
instance, you can choose:

For LT141X2-124 LCD, is the best choice because

LT141X2-152 and LT141X2-124 LCD are from the same manufacturer” Samsung”, also with the same size 14.1 inch.
When choosing the program, you may choose the one from the same manufacturer and with the same resolution. If it
can’t work, just select another one with the same resolution and the same LVDS differential signal group until it works.
Please be sure that the resolution of the program is the same with that of your LCD.

P.S.: SI6L means Single 6 bit LVDS (three pairs of differential signal groups: R0-,R0+ : R1-, R1+; R2-, R2+; and
a pair of differential clock group: CLKIN-, CLKIN+.) ; DO6L means Double 6 bit LVDS (six pairs of
differential signal groups and two pairs of differential clock groups); SI8L means Single 8 bit LVDS( four
pairs of differential signal groups and a pair of differential clock group) and DO8L means Double 8 bit
LVDS( eight pairs of differential signal groups and two pairs of differential clock groups)

13
Note: if you can’t find a program with a resolution that is same to your LCD in the folder, then it can’t work with your
LCD. Please select another controller board with suitable programs.

Question 3: How to know how many differential signal groups does the LCD has?
Answer: If you are not sure the quantities of differential signal groups in your LCD, please check the SPEC for more
information. For example: LP 154X4-TLA1 is a LCD with a LVDS interface and a 30 pin connector on it. Here is its
module connector pin configuration:

From the above form, you can see that there are three pairs of LVDS differential Odd data input:
, , , , , ; and a pair of LVDS Even differential clock input: , . When
choosing programs, you should choose the one with SI6L.

Another example is B150PG03_VO LCD; see below:

Signal Pin

From the table, you can find there are six pairs of LVDS differential Odd data input: RoIN0-, RoIN0+, RoIN1-,
RoIN1+, RoIN2-, RoIN2+, ReIN0-, ReIN0+, ReIN1-, RelN1+, ReIN2-, ReIN2+; and two pairs of LVDS Even
differential clock input. So when selecting programs, you should choose the one with DO6L.
,,

Note: After programming is done and LVDS/ TTL cable connected to the controller board, please use a
Multimeter to check the electric circuit before processing circuit to avoid short circuit.

14
REMARK:
After burning the controller board, please choose the right LVDS/TTL cable for your LCD panel. The output
signal of the controller board should be the same with that of the LCD input signal, or the LCD will not be lightened.
For more information of how to choose a right LVDS/TTL cable please contact us for more information. Make sure
you connect the power, ground and signal wire in the right way (match the ones in the panel connector). If possible,
Use a multimeter to check and prevent short circuit before connecting LCD panel. The detailed specification of
R.RM3251C and R.RM3331 LCD controller board are written in CD for your information. From it, you can know about
the function or definition of every pin in the controller board. That information can help you choose suitable cable.
Furthermore, you can deduce the pin definition of other similar controller boards. At present, specifications for other
controller boards are not available, but we will provide once available.
