Either follow the Menu path and double click on "OKP1 - Change" OR enter "OKP1" in the command line
and press Enter.

The controlling area is the highest organizational unit in Controlling.

3. Fiscal Year

3.1. Required User Input

Enter your required fiscal year then press

3.3. Description
  
Account transaction figures are updated per period within the fiscal year . A maximum of 16 periods can
be updated. You define how a fiscal year is divided into periods per company code.

4. Version

4.1. Required User Input

Enter "0" in the version field.

4.2. SAP Screen Snap

4.3. Description
  
There is one specific version for actual and planned costs (version 0) in each controlling area. The SAP
System creates this version automatically when you set up a controlling area. You only need to maintain
the fiscal year data for planning in version 0. In addition to version 0, you can create any number of extra
planning versions in which you can enter planning figures using the planning transactions. When posting
actual costs you do not have the option of entering a version. The actual values are automatically posted
to version 0.

Click on "Actual" button to open / close actual posting period of controlling.

6. Period Selection

6.1. Required User Input

Click on the period column to be locked.

6.2. SAP Screen Snap

6.3. Description
  
Click the period locked against all transactions OR select particular transactions against period as per
your requirement. The selected transactions are only locked against Controlling.

7. Lock Period

Click on Lock period button.

Lock selected periods against selected transactions in the Controlling.

8. Save

Click on "Save" icon.

Click Save button to lock selected transactions against the selected periods.
