Transport in Bogotá

Bogota is city located in the Centre of Colombia. It is a very big city. The weather of Bogotá is cold.
The population of Bogota is about seven million and the city is a very popular place to visit. It has
many places to visit like Monserrat, Bolivar’s square, etc. Bogota has many systems of transport
like, Transmilenio, taxis, buses, airplanes, cars and cars platforms.

Transmilenio is the most popular way of transport, it has 175 stations and 9 portals, Transmilenio
is compound by buses, furthermore it has “alimentadores” that are in the portals to get people to
home.

Buses are private buses that take people by certain routes where doesn’t exist transmilenio, they
are cheaper than transmilenio however they are slower too.

Taxis are like the other taxis in the world, are yellow cars that are driven by taxi drivers, however
people are dissatisfied with this way of transport because some taxi drivers are very rude and
sometimes they refuse to take people to certain places. Nowadays there is a problem between car
platforms and taxis because people prefer to take an uber than a taxi, in fact government
sanctioned uber at request of taxi drivers.

In Bogotá there is an airport called dorado it is the most important airport in Colombia, the airport
is used by more than 30 million people by year. El dorado Airport has two tracks. Furthermore, in
Bogotá there is an airport called Guaymaral that is used by small airplanes.
