Lessons Learnt During The Covid-19 Movement Control Order

Corona virus disease is very dangerous. It was started in Wuhan, China on 17 November
2019. The virus spread all over the world includes Malaysia. This virus can spread primarily
through droplets generated when an infected person coughs, sneezes or speaks. As the virus
spread widely, Movement Control Order (MCO) was implemented in Malaysia on Wednesday,
18 March 2020. Corona virus gives us some important lessons during this lockdown.

Once MCO implemented, we have to stay at home and our movement was controlled. A
lot of people lost their job and financially suffered. Yet, we can use this opportunity to spend
more time with family. We had healthy food cooked at home that reduce health problem among
us. We learn how to help each other by doing house chores. As students, we learn how to study
independently without going to school by using various types of technology such as Zoom.
Google Classroom, WebEx and others.

Obedience is very important during lockdown. We must follow guidelines given by

Ministry Of Health to overcome Covid-19. We need to follow the social distancing to prevent
viruses spread from others. We need to put hand sanitizer or wash our hands to make sure our
hands are clean. We can practice this daily to avoid not only corona virus but also other viruses
that spread by droplets.

During this time, wildlife and plants live without any interruption due to pollution. The
nature is recovering while human stays at home. So, we need to love the nature and always make
sure the environment is clean. At the same time, we must appreciate our essential workers
because without them we can’t control this virus. The sad thing is many people have died due to
Covid-19. We should be grateful that our Malaysian gave full support to fight Covid-19.

As conclusion, this Movement Control Order really gave some impacts and lessons for us
to learn and make some changes. It also gives us strength how to overcome this pandemic in the
right way to get a positive outcome. If we stay together, we can overcome any problems in
future.
