The research design of the study is qualitative in nature wherein the researchers utilize
the process of determining the company profile, management practices, growth, the challenges
and the factors affecting the sales of water refilling station industry. The researchers will conduct
an interview and observe the water refilling stations in Basak, San Nicolas, Labangon, Punta
Princesa and Tisa of Cebu City. The respondents for the interview are the business owners,
management and employees of water refilling stations within the four barangays. The researchers
will use an interview guide questionnaire as a research instrument in conducting the interview
with the water refilling station businesses.
Overall, regardless of the different situations of the water refilling stations within the
barangays, they have similarities such as the compliance to government regulations, how they
handle employees, product description, goals, marketing the product and their sanitary practices.
On the basis of the findings of the study, the researchers conclude that the water refilling stations
have common challenges encountered internally and externally.
This study includes recommendation for the students and the future researchers to have a
background and study the water refilling station industry preferably that have operated for more
than one year to get more accurate and detailed information. The customers must be
knowledgeable about different government regulations and that the management should follow
all necessary and proper practices. The researchers recommend that each household must
practice water waste management and use water efficiently. The government must have strict
regulations when it comes to the water refilling station industry. Lastly, the researchers
recommend that water refilling stations must exert effort in marketing their products.
