1. What happened when Shetty was returning home? What did he
do?
Ans. One day when Shetty was returning home it started to rain heavily.
He saw a pretty fir tree and ran to take shelter beneath the tree.

2. What reward did Shetty grant the tree?

Ans. Shetty was so happy with the tree that he granted it four wishes.

3. Why did the fir tree wish for green leaves?

Ans. The fir tree had needle like leaves and no bird ever made their nest on
it. This made the tree sad. So the tree wished for green leaves.

4. What happened to the green leaves?

Ans. A goat ate away the green leaves.
