The developers of the application aim to provide availability of the app anywhere by

introducing a new and simple way of ordering foods and tracking of deliveries. Also, the

application was made simple yet wonderful and easy to use and navigate, that is applicable for

any groups of individuals.

2. A new food ordering system

Dart Delivery was made as an accessible food ordering platform. It can be use in three

different ways. First is through online whether using it by downloading the app, the third one is

using a website version, and the third is through offline wherein a costumer can place order

through SMS.

People may have different races, cultures and way of living but you cannot remove the fact that

food is an essential part of a human being. It is one of the basic necessities a man should have for him to

live and because of this the food industry all over the world keeps on flourishing and therefore, food

industry will always remain in high demand because of its importance to people.

The Filipinos are known to be food lovers so it is not surprising that even the food industry in the

Philippines keeps on flourishing too. Based on a study, about 42.6% of a household's income here in the

Philippines is spent on food. The food service industry has also risen in the country. A nationwide census

made last 2012 state that about 15% to 20% was the annual growth of the food service industry for the

past decades. McKinsey’s research about online penetration of the total food delivery in all over the
world reached about 30% in 2016. And the researchers believed that eventually it can reach up to 65%

per year as the markets grows or mature.

Since the Philippines is also considered as one of those country which has a big connection

through internet and technology penetration has been successful to enter the market here in the

Philippines, online food delivery has been booming and growing as of today. Factly, there are many

different kinds of online food delivery in the market but one of the most known is the Foodpanda.

Foodpanda is one of the fastest growing online food delivery worldwide and also one of the most

popular in the Philippines. It has almost 3.3 billion users in 40+ countries worldwide. Foodpanda is

backed-up by Rocket Internet, responsible for the successful online shopping sites like Zalora and

Lazada.

Filipinos have slowly been accepting online food delivery because of its convenience to people.

Filipinos can be seen everywhere busy regarding work, studies or even chores in the family that they

don’t have much time anymore to cook and prepare foods. Bringing online delivery in the Philippines

have brought a huge help for busy people because instead of going in a crowded market or store and

waiting in a long line just to pay for foods but one can have it with just on tap and continue what each

individual is doing.
