ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

ON HUMAN RIGHTS CELEBRATION

I. INTRODUCTION

Eleanor Roosevelt, an American activist and diplomat once quoted “All human beings are
born free and equal in dignity and rights.
And to ensure that everywhere the common people of the world get their due from life, it is
our pleasure to support and participate in the celebration Human Rights Awareness Month.
It is satisfying on my part to be able to accomplish several activities that helped our
students gain insights and understanding about human rights.

II. OBJECTIVES

 To make the students well-informed and perceptive about human rights as well as human
rights violations inside the campus and the community
 To encourage students to end discrimination and treat everyone equally regardless of tribe,
gender, etc.

III. ACCOMPLISHMENTS

 Conducted a forum and information campaign on human rights focusing on violence against
women and their children and bullying inside the campus.

IV. PROBLEMS MET

 There is no functional VAW desk yet since we are on the planning stage for our GAD center.

V. RECOMMENDATIONS

 Impose heavier sanctions for bullying.

 Functional GAD center and VAW desk should be established to promote gender sensitivity
and to encourage students to report any violations of their rights and to provide support
and guidance as well.
