Engineer. Prices given by the contractor on this BOQ are to cover any and all additional materials, labor
or associated costs to complete the works as documented on the complete project documents.

General Notes:
1 - The cost for all items below includes supplying of materials, making, installation, transportation, spare
parts, accessories, auxiliary materials, relocation of any existing items come under work to any new location
guided by the UNOPS Engineer , removal/salvage/disposal of any existing structure that needs to be
removed/salvaged/disposed , reinstating of all under work and their surrounding areas after the work to their
original states , all wilding works, hardware, glazing, all types of paintings including anti-rust paintings of all
non-galvanized steel surfaces followed by 2 other coats of oil-based painting and any other needed works
and materials to complete the job to the full satisfaction of UNOPS Engineer.
2 - Samples for all types of equipment, appliances, materials and accessories that need to be used in this
contract shall be brought to the approval of UNOPS engineer before using them in the job. All water sanitary
items to be Master Brand (or equivalent). All electrical equipment shall be original Italian. All ceramics to be
RAK Brand.
3 - Read sections in given specifications, and also read the drawings before pricing the job. Material
availability and changes of market prices for any material is to the responsibility of the Contractor without any
extra payment.
4 - In practical work, there may be a 5% variation in the design/size/quality/quantity of different parts of the
work itemized in their BOQ; all such changes till full satisfaction of UNOPS engineer are without any extra
payment. Only those vast changes in the design can be paid on the top of the BOQ sum subject to approval
of UNOPS Engineer. (In the case of big changes in the scope of work, there must be a written agreement
between Contractor and UNOPS Engineer on an agreed extra scope along with their prices prior to
resume/finish the work ).

RCC Septic tank/ Holding tank:

1 Excavation of foundation: This item and its cost incudes excavation for any soil type
for the foundation and disposal of unwanted materials to outside UNAMA right away Cu.m
during the time of excavation. See drawings for more dimensions/details.

2 Earth backfilling: This item and its cost incudes any soil type backfill on/around the
new septic tank plus its compaction. The materials could be from the excavated
foundation subject to approval of UNOPS Engineer. Consult Engineer for location Cu.m
and sizes of backfilling. The work to be at full satisfaction of UNOPS Engineer. 40.00 -
3 PCC M-100 under the body of septic tank: This item and its cost incudes plinth
concrete under the tank as shown on the given drawings. The foundation ground
shall be compacted before PCC. The tasks includes provision of concrete, pouring, Cu.m
curing , and all needed works/materials at full satisfaction of UNOPS Engineer. 3.50 -
4 RCC M-200 for the body of septic tank: This item and its cost incudes all reinforced
concrete used for the whole tank structure including its accessing manholes/covers
as shown on the given drawings. The tasks includes provision of concrete, pouring,
curing , reinforcement, shuttering by using new smooth plywood boards, and all
needed works/materials to complete RCC body. The cost also includes PVC
embedded sleeves in the concrete for future piping connections, and the PVC
ventilation pipe shown on the drawings. The cost includes installation/embedding of Cu.m
PVC pipe, schedule-80, 10" on septic roof, having a operable metallic GI cover to
the instruction of UNOPS Engineer.
The work shall be at full satisfaction of UNOPS Engineer. The RCC shall be from a
certified concrete batch plant and shall carry its all testing documents as per our
Specs for concrete.

5 PCC M-150 on the ISOGAM layer for the sloppy floor of the septic tank: This item
and its cost incudes provision of concrete, pouring, curing , and all needed
works/materials at full satisfaction of UNOPS Engineer and to the given drawings. Cu.m
The concrete to be from a certified concrete batch plant along relevant test
documents. 3.50 -
6 Provision and installation of one layer of ISOGAM bituminous water-proofing sheets
for whole inside surfaces of the septic tank (floor and all walls) as per given
drawings. The cost includes all needed work/materials to the full satisfaction of Sq.m
UNOPS Engineer.

7 New RCC M-200 manholes: This item and its cost incudes 2 RCC manholes, one
near the new septic tank, and the other about 12m away from the first manhole. The
cost includes full structure for manholes from excavation to final plastering plus the
6" PVC Schedule 40, sewer pipe connections between manholes and between
septic and manhole, and all as per given drawings and illustration of UNOPS
Engineer. The cost includes all required sub-tasks, works, materials, auxiliary LS
materials, pipes, fittings, installations etc. to complete both manholes, and to
connect them to the new RCC septic tank to full satisfaction of UNOPS Engineer.
See drawings for manhole size and design. The concrete to be from a certified
concrete batch plant along relevant test documents.

Other different items for site works:

8 Removal of existing brick masonry room 4.95x2.8mx3.2m(height) that is attached

with the container including removal and relocation of vertical GI flat k-span roof
wall. The cost also includes removal and reinstallation of existing AC unit to a new LS
location guided by UNOPS Engineer. Consult Engineer for the room address and all
required queries related this demolition task.

9 Removal of existing dish-antenna and its concrete foundation block (2x1.5x0.75m).
This task includes disposal of the foundation, but salvage of antenna to any location
guided by UNOPS Engineer within the UNOCA compound. The cost includes all LS
required tasks to do the job.

10 Removal of existing fence wall (L=14m, h=2.5m) from the project site, where the
new RCC septic tank (above part of this BOQ) comes, and after the construction of
the new septic tank, re-installation of same fence system back to the same location
that it was before. This item also includes removal and disposal of a concrete block LS
(1.5x1.5x0.35m) from the project site. The cost includes all required tasks to do the
job to the full satisfaction of UNOPS Engineer.

11 Leveling and ready-grass cultivation to a wide area of 8x2.5m next to the Customs
Office. The cost includes all needed work/material to do the job as per UNOPS LS
Engineers guidance.

12 Renovation of the side-walk between 2 k-span structures toward the VILLAGE. The
job tasks and their costs includes following:
1- Concrete PCC M150 pavement: the concrete thickness will be 100mm, and
area=30x2.2m. This tasks includes removal of existing loose PCCs from k-span
structure's edges and renovation of the area with new PCC. The cost also includes
cement mortar pitching to all the vertical sides of the k-span base, adjacent to this LS
side-walk.
2- Shortening of the existing fence-type door leaf by 20cm; which is the entry
pedestrian gate to the VILLAGE.
All works to be at full satisfaction of UNOPS Engineer.

13 (OPTIONLA): Extra task for the BOQ item No.12 (above):
Provision and installation of new PVC pipe, schedule 40, 6" beneath the new PCC
pavement with 2 numbers of new RCC manholes (700x700x800mm) and their
connections to the either main sewer system or to the new septic mentioned in this LS
BOQ (as per Engineers instructions).
All works to be at full satisfaction of UNOPS Engineer.

14 Removal of a mass of about 10 cubic meter of soil located at the entrance of
VILLAGE to any location guided by UNOPS Engineer. LS

15 New gravel paved road:
Gravel compaction (crush-type, 20-40mm) with the thickness of 100mm on a
150mm compacted sub-base materials, to the length of L=46m, width of W=4.5m
for the road between UNAMA area and UNOPS Village. The cost includes natural
ground compaction and leveling before gravelling, sub-base construction and the
graveled final layer. The also cost includes provision and installation of concrete LS
curbs both sides the road with the dimensions of (H=40cm, W=20cm, and
length=length of the road). the curbs can be pre-fab or monolithic. But all the work
to be as per full satisfaction of UNOPS Engineer. See drawings or ask Engineer for
details.

16 Adjacent to the existing Fuel Tank, there is an area of 5x4m that needs to be paved
by PCC-M150 with a thickness of 100mm. Another 100mm compacted gravel layer
underneath the PCC is also part of the job. There also a need for a 12m, 6" PVC
pipe, to be buried/installed over the ground to work as the water collector for rain LS
water etc. Consult Engineer for location and details. The cost includes all required
works/materials.

17 Construction of new fence-barrier and its operable door leaf for a total length of 9m,
and height of 3.0m in front of the existing Fuel Tank area to block the site. See
drawings for the fence design and details. All works to be as per full satisfaction of LS
UNOPS Engineer.
