[1] Bangladesh has approved a community radio policy and licensed several stations, with plans to expand the network further. [2] National strategic plans also recognize the potential of community radio to increase access to information for grassroots communities. [3] Community radio is an attractive, available, and affordable medium that can deliver educational content on topics that empower listeners and motivate development. [4] Programming produced through community radio is aligned with the goals of organizations supporting microcredit and poverty reduction efforts. [5]
