The first entry (1/8/2020):

My name is Hau, I’m from Ho Chi Minh city. I begin joining in the English class
today. This is a class for a second-degree program. I am e lecturer and my major is
electronics. I want to read English document and write paper. So I need to learn
English. Unfortunately, the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic takes place again. It
began in Da Nang city then spreads to other cities quickly. So I have to learn
online class after one day in interface class. I use the laptop connected Internet to
access Meet application of Google by an account provided by my teacher in order
to learn online. My teacher is young and helpful. She will send me the lessons,
document and link to class room some days in advance. After joining the online
class room which is created by my teacher, I can listen the lessons and argue with
everybody in class. If my Internet is unstable, I will be easily interrupted. So it will
be very hard for me to concentrate on my studies. Moreover, I feel eyestrain
when I have to stare at laptop monitor all day. But learning online help me save
the time traveling from my house to school. In addition, I can look after my kid
while learning. Follow me, interoperability of online class is not high. Everything
depends on quality of Internet connection. So I prefer the traditional class to
online class. I will focus more on the lessons and I can argue with teacher and my
friends about problems that I don’t understand through direct communication. I
hope that the vaccine will be founded and Covid-19 pandemic will be contained
soon. So that I can go to class to learn English with my teacher and my friends.

2. Hang is one of many new students at Long An university. She is forty and from
HCM city. She graduated from Technology HCM twenty years ago. Her major is
electronics. She needs to improve English skills, so she learns English class. This is
a class for a second-degree program. She likes the school, the friendly student
and the helpful teacher. She also thinks the class is excellent. But She doesn’t like
the food in the cafeteria and no having projector in the classroom.

3. This is about Hang, is a new member in English class at Long An university. She
is forty and from HCM city. She lives here with her family. She is a lecturer. She is
taking part in English class for a second-degree program. She likes the school, the
friendly students and the helpful teachers. But she doesn’t like the classroom
because it hasn’t got a projector. In free time, she usually reads books, goes gym.
She also goes to the mall with her family at weekend. She graduated from
Technology HCM twenty years ago. Her major is electronics. She needs to
improve English skills in order to read English documents and learn Ph.D, so she
learns English.
2. The second entry (15/8/2020):

Topic: “Mobile phones are very important to many people now”

Nowadays, almost people have at least a mobile phone and Mobile phones are
very important to many people. Firstly, they can store lots of data such as
pictures, text and audio. This enables us to carry our files around wherever we go,
ensuring that we can easily access important documents for work or your
personal life. Secondly, Mobile phones are useful in communication. They provide
the means to communicate with friends, family, co-workers. We can connect with
everybody to anywhere we want. In addition, if we turn on mobile internet
connection, we can make a video call by application such as Viber, Zalo with less
cost. That is convenient for us to attend to meeting online or studying online
when we are in social distance and are prohibited going out. Thirdly, mobile
phones provide many ways of entertainment. As we have a mobile phone, there
is no reason to get bored. We can play games, read books, listen to music, listen
to radio that are set up in it. Moreover, when they are connected internet, there
are a lot of games to download and play, we can read online news, surf the web
or join in social network as Facebook, Twitter.

Finally, for me, they are a fashion. Many people think that mobile phones are
important things as jewelry. Choosing a model of mobile phones or accessories
included depends on what kind of person who you are. People are usually happy
when having modern mobile phones produced by famous producers as Apple,
Samsung. I have a mobile phone and use it everyday. I think that It is a piece of
my life and I can’t live without it.

Other conclusion: At this time, Mobile phones make people’s life becomes more
convenient and they are helpful in many ways, so that everyone needs to have a
mobile phone.
 Topic “A descriptive paragraph about a chart”

1. The bar graph:

The bar chart shows the number of social networking sites visited by internet users in
Canada in 2014 and in 2015. We can see from the data that, in general, there was a
growing tendency to use more than one site.

Although just over one fifth of internet users did not use any social networking sites in
either of the years, the proportion in this category decreased from 22 percent in 2014 to
21 percent in 2015. In both years the highest proportion of users in any group fell into
the ‘One site’ category. However, this group declined sharply from 36 percent in 2014 to
28 percent in 2015.

In contrast, the numbers who reported using two sites, three sites, four sites and five
sites all grew over the period analysed. In both years the proportion of internet users fell
as the number of social networking sites increased, with only 2 percent using five sites
in 2014 compared to 4 percent in 2015.
The bar chart is about the global sales (in billions of dollars) of different types of
digital games from 2000 to 2006.

2. The Line Graph:

The line graph deals with predicted wildlife population from 2017 to 2022.
There are three graphs in the chart. The blue graph shows the predicted population of the bear, the
orange one represents to the predicted population of the dolphin and the gray graph shows the
predicted population of the whale in the world.

The population of the bear will expand constantly 5 years later. The chart shows that it will be more
than 18 times as many bears as now in 2022. To whales, the population will fluctuate between 60
and 80 in the next 5 years. It will peak at 100 whales in 2019. There will be an enormous decrease in
the dolphin population from 2017 to 2020. It will reach a trough and extinction in 2022.

The chart alarms that many endangered species are on the edge of extinction in the near future. We
need to take action to protect them immediately.

3. The Pie Chart

3.1)

The Pie Chart is about causes of worldwide land degradation. T here are four main
causes of farmland becoming degraded in the world today.

Globally, 65% of degradation is caused by too much animal grazing and tree
clearance, constituting 35% and 30% respectively. A further 28% of global
degradation is due to over-cultivation of crops. Other causes account for only 7%
collectively.

These causes affected different regions differently in the 1990s, with Europe
having as much as 9.8% of degradation due to deforestation, while the impact of
this on Oceania and North America was minimal, with only 1.7% and 0.2% of land
affected respectively. Europe, with the highest overall percentage of land
degraded (23%), also suffered from over-cultivation (7.7%) and over-grazing
(5.5%). In contrast, Oceania had 13% of degraded farmland and this was mainly
due to over-grazing (11.3%). North America had a lower proportion of degraded
land at only 5%, and the main causes of this were over-cultivation (3.3%) and, to a
lesser extent, over-grazing (1.5%).

Overall, it is clear that Europe suffered more from farmland degradation than the
other regions and the main causes there were deforestation and over-cultivation.
