inflated and are very handy.

Ans. We need globe to see the correct shapes,

Ans. The lines that are drawn parallel to the
Equator are called Line of Latitude.

5. What are ‘Lines of Longitude’?
Ans. The Lines of Longitudes are the lines that run
from the North Pole to the South Pole. They are all
of equal length and their total number is 360.
6. Which Meridian divides the earth into two equal
parts? How?
Ans. The Prime Meridian divides Earth into two
equal halves. This base line has a 0o longitude and
from it we count 180 o eastward and 180 o
westward.
7. How does a grid help us?
Ans. A grid helps us in locating places.
