Biografi Bob Sadino

Bob Sadino. Born in Lampung on March 9, 1933. He died on January 19, 2015. He is familiarly
called “Om Bob”. He is a businessman from Indonesia who do business in the field of food and
animal husbandry. He is the owner of the Kemfood and Kemchick business networks. On many
occasions, he is often seen using a short-sleeved shirt and shorts that characterize him. Bob
Sadino was born to a well-to-do family. He is the youngest of five siblings. When his parents
died, Bob who was 19 years old inherited all of his family's property because his other siblings
were already considered established. Bob then spends some of his wealth to travel the world.
On the way, he stopped in the Netherlands and stayed for about nine years. There, he worked
at Djakarta Lylod in the city of Amsterdam and also in Hamburg, Germany. While living in
Holland, Bob met his life partner, Soelami Soejoed.

In 1967, Bob and family returned to Indonesia. He brought along his 2 Mercedes, made in
the 1960s. One of them he sold to buy a piece of land in Kemang, South Jakarta while others he
kept. After some time living and living in Indonesia, Bob decides to quit his job because he has
the determination to work independently. His first job after leaving the company was to rent
out the Mercedes car he owned, he himself became his driver. But unfortunately, one day he
got an accident that caused his car was badly damaged. Having no money to fix it, Bob turned
the job into a mason. His salary when it was only Rp.100. He also had depression due to the
pressures of his life. One day, his friend suggested Bob keep the chicken to fight the depression
he experienced. Bob was interested. When raising the chicken that comes inspiration
entrepreneurship.

Bob's supermarket business is growing rapidly, penetrating into agribusiness, especially


holtikutura, managing vegetable gardens for foreign consumption in Indonesia. Therefore, he
also cooperates with farmers in several regions. Bob believes that every successful step always
begins failure for failure. Entrepreneurial journey is not as smooth as it seems. He and his wife
often do somersaults. For him money is not the number one. The important thing is willingness,
commitment, and the guts to look for and catch opportunity.

After being treated for two months, quirky businessman Bob Sadino finally breathed his last
at Pondok Indah Hospital Jakarta on Monday, January 19, 2015 after struggling with the disease
of chronic respiratory tract infections. Bob Sadino is said to have been unconscious in 2-3
weeks. His illness is related to his advanced age and his declining condition after his wife died in
July 2014.
