* CALL TO WORSHIP (Psalm 103:1-2, 20-22 NIV) Dr. Steve Pulliam

Pastor: Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
All: Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits.
Pastor: Praise the Lord, you his angels,
you mighty ones who do his bidding, who obey his word.
All: Praise the Lord, all his heavenly hosts, you his servants who do his will.
Pastor: Praise the Lord, all his works everywhere in his dominion.
All: Praise the Lord, my soul!

* OPENING HYMN 139 Praise to the Lord, the Almighty LOVE DEN HERREN
1. Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation!
O my soul, praise him, for he is thy health and salvation!
All ye who hear, now to his temple draw near;
join me in glad adoration!
2. Praise to the Lord, who o’er all things so wondrously reigning
bears thee on eagle’s wings, e’er in his keeping maintaining.
God’s care enfolds all, whose true good he upholds.
Hast thou not known his sustaining?
3. Praise to the Lord, who doth prosper thy work and defend thee;
Surely his goodness and mercy here daily attend thee.
Ponder anew what the Almighty can do,
Who with his love doth befriend thee.
4. Praise to the Lord! O let all that is in me adore him!
All that hath life and breath, come now with praises before him!
Let the amen sound from his people again;
gladly forever adore him.

* AFFIRMATION OF FAITH (The Apostles’ Creed)

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth;
and in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord;
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried;
the third day he rose from the dead;
he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
Amen.
* GLORIA PATRI 70 MEINEKE
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost.
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen. Amen.

CALL TO PRAYER
We cannot come before God unless we are first honest with ourselves about who we are,
about the mistakes we make, and about how well or poorly we care for others.
In this spirit of reflection, let us offer our prayers to God.

CONGREGATIONAL PRAYER
O God, in mystery and silence you are present in our lives, bringing new life out of
destruction, hope out of despair, growth out of difficulty. We thank you that you do
not leave us alone, but labor to make us whole. Help us to perceive your unseen hand
in the unfolding of our lives, and to attend to the gentle guidance of your Spirit,
that we may know the joy you give your people. Amen.

PASTORAL PRAYER

THE LORD’S PRAYER

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil,
for Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

MINISTRY SPOTLIGHT
During the pandemic some of the most vulnerable in our community have been impacted the most.
Central’s continued generosity has provided ongoing support for our local mission partners,
including Cooperative Emergency Outreach, Magdalene Serenity House, Loving Choices, Canopy
NWA, and others. Your support has also strengthened our existing relationships with The Salvation
Army, 7 Hills and Fayetteville Public Schools, as we have worked together in many ways during this
time. Thank you for the support that makes Christ Central to Life for so many!

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
We are so glad that you have chosen to be with us this morning. We are mindful during this pandemic
just how special worshipping together is. In our effort to keep everyone as safe as possible, we are
asking that everyone adhere to the following directives while in the sanctuary.
1. Masks must be worn over your nose and mouth at all times.
2. Everyone is encouraged to partipate fully in the worship service, including the singing of the
hymns and responses, and the spoken liturgy. Masks must be on.
3. Please refrain from physical contact with others, outside of your family groups.
No handshaking, embracing, or touching.
4. Please remain seated during the closing voluntary, and an usher will indicate when your row
may depart. You will leave via the window aisles, and exit through the north vestibule
doorways.
