Reflective Journal on the Political Experience during COVID-19 Luzon Lockdown

Due to continuous rising of pandemic, several politicians are taking advantage of this situation
by providing support to affected families. For them, it may be a good opportunity to campaign.
They are giving relief goods to every household, providing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
which is needed by our frontliners, and some hygiene. Ofcourse, some of them post their
names and profile to those equipments to give credits. While some of the politicians are doing
their job, some are not. People are becoming more and more worried about their situations
because their officials seem not to care for them. With this, some people believe that they are
corrupting the money that is supposed to be distributed to affected families.

Moreover, since we are living in a third world country, where money is one of the biggest
problem, government's budget for this pandemic is not enough to support all the family. With
that, only limited families are given the chance to have the support given by the government.

In this case, a famous quote from Apostle Paul is very accurate for this situation wherein
"Money is the root of all Evil".From what we are experiencing today, we see who are the
politicians that are reliable and not. Our president, Pres. Rodrigo Duterte seems to be doing his
job since he is prioritizing the safety of every Filipino. Despite of all the bad words he's receiving
from many people, he still choose to be strong and fight for the nation. He still shows his care
to our precious frontliners and give his full support to them.

Through this pandemic, we learned that cooperating is the best key to end this war. We need to
be educated enough, and learn to prioritize our health because that is what we need right now
- to be strong and healthy.
